Doctors

Veterinarian

Dr. Diana Tran was born in Fort Myers, Florida and raised in Houma, Louisiana. Her parents emigrated from Vietnam in hopes of providing a better life for themselves and their future children. She graduated with a B.S. in biological sciences in 2006 and received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from LSU in 2011. After graduation she moved to New Orleans and had been practicing on the Westbank until she joined the MSAH family in January 2016. Her interests include dermatology, behavior, and surgery. She currently lives with her Great Dane Emmy and her parvovirus "foster" turned rescue mixed breed, Azul (Azie). During her free time, Dr. Diana enjoys working out and personal health and fitness. She recently completed her first half marathon with the encouragement from one of her clients. She also loves to cook, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.

Veterinarian

Dr. Mary Brewington was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. She earned a B.S. in Animal Sciences from LSU in 2009, and then went on to study at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England where she received her veterinary degree in July 2014. While attending RVC, she had the opportunity to spend three weeks in Indonesia as part of a student research team analyzing sustainable shrimp farming in the area. Dr. Mary worked at MSAH’s main hospital throughout high school, college, and vet school as a veterinary assistant. She rejoined the MSAH team as a doctor in March of 2016, having previously worked at a small animal clinic in New Orleans since graduation. Dr. Mary is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association. She currently resides in Mid-City with her very lovable Havanese mix named Lucy. Her interests include traveling, reading, cooking, and recently, the art of gardening.

Veterinarian

Dr. Rachel Wier received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2010. She graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, receiving a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She enjoys traveling with her husband James and spending time with their bumbly mutt, Jenny.

Veterinarian

Dr. Meredith Addison was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana. She received her B.S. degree in biological sciences from LSU. She went on to receive her Masters in Animal Sciences from LSU, before attending LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Meredith worked in Las Vegas, NV, for a year before returning to her home state to work at MSAH. She’s currently a member of the Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Meredith lives in Bayou St. John with her two chocolate labs, Duke and Tuck. She enjoys outdoor activities with her dogs, kayaking, traveling, festivals, eating sweets, and art. 

Megan Mayer, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Megan Mayer was raised in the New Orleans area and began working as a kennel attendant at MSAH while attending Mount Carmel Academy. She continued with MSAH throughout high school and college, working as a veterinary assistant and on our Emergency Team. She obtained her undergraduate degree in poultry science from Louisiana State University. Dr. Megan attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and received her veterinary degree in January 2017. She looks forward to growing in the profession alongside her father, Dr. Siggy. Dr. Megan has two Dachshunds, Gracie and Winston, and a Sulcata tortoise, Riesling. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and being outdoors.

Samantha Glisson, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Samantha Glisson was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Vanderbilt University. She then returned to her native Sunshine State for veterinary school at the University of Florida and graduated as a member of the veterinary honor society, Phi Zeta. After graduation, Dr. Samantha moved to New Orleans in June 2017 with her fiance, Hayden, for his urology residency at Ochsner. Her primary interests are feline medicine, endocrine diseases, and behavior. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, Dr. Samantha enjoys exploring the New Orleans food scene, doing yoga, and reading on her porch with her cat Sneaky.

Alex Juneau, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Alex Juneau was born and raised in Gretna, Louisiana. He received his Animal Science degree from ULL in 2010. He then attended LSU and received his doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2014. After graduating he and his wife, Jaynie, moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he practiced veterinary medicine for three years. While in Las Vegas they had a daughter named Olive. In 2017 he and his family moved back to New Orleans where he began working for Metairie Small Animal Hospital. He is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. He and his family reside in Uptown New Orleans with their Australian Shepherd, Ziggy, and their Catahoula, Stevie. Dr. Juneau enjoys hiking, camping, biking, reading and spending time with his wife and daughter in his free time.
