MSAH CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

A lot has changed here at Metairie Small Animal Hospital over the past month!  All of the pilings have been driven and concrete has been poured as well.  Construction is moving along both smoothly and rapidly.  Although our exterior is changing, it is business as usual on the interior. Our extended evening hours are still available on Monday and Wednesday nights until 9 PM, despite the construction. And, as always we offer 24 hour a day emergency services.  Please let us know how we can assist you during our renovations.

Case of the Month

"Biggie" is a two year old, neutered male, domestic shorthair tabby cat.  His owner came home today and discovered that the cat "just wasn't right."  Biggie was extremely sluggish and was not eating very well.  He also began to vomit profusely; he wasn't even able to hold down water.  Conservative treatment with antibiotics and anti-nausea medication was tried first.  But, after 24 hours with no response, Biggie was hospitalized for further work-up.
