Metairie Small Animal Hospital is proud to announce our association with Gulf Coast Veterinary Oncology beginning January 6, 2005. Dr. Kevin Hahn and his associates will be offering referral services in small animal cancer medicine every Thursday in our Main Hospital location.

Dr. Hahn is a Purdue graduate with a PhD in Cell Biology and Developmental Therapeutics. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Pathology at Texas A&M. Following 10 years on the faculty at the University of Tennessee, he moved to Houston in 1999 and is now a Senior Partner at Gulf Coast Veterinary Oncology with referral offices in Houston and San Antonio. He directs a number of national and international clinical trials that have led to FDA approved treatments for pets and people with cancer. He has written over 300 peer reviewed manuscripts, serves on various Councils or Boards of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He and his wife, Lisa, have three boys.

Dr. Hahn will offer referral-only care and gladly provide telephone and email consultations with your hospital. We hope that this greatly needed service in our city will help you in your day-to-day care as well as offer convenient options in cancer treatments to your clients.
