Dr. Fabacher grew up in Metairie, Louisiana, and began working as a veterinary assistant at Metairie Small Animal Hospital while attending Rummel High School. He went on to graduate from LSU with a degree in Animal Science while working as a research associate studying poultry diseases in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Science.

Dr. Chris received his degree from LSU's School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. His primary interests lie in orthopedic and general surgery. He is a member of the Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society.

Dr. Chris married Patricia Melius in 1975 and has two daughters Courtney and Megan.  He is now the proud grandfather of Clayton, Emerson, Ellie, and Prescott. Dr. Chris enjoys spending time with his dogs, fishing, and golf.
