Dr. Daryl Haydel graduated from Shaw High School, then studied at the University of New Orleans for four years prior to attending Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, particularly Brachycephalic surgery and laser surgery.

Dr. Daryl is the current President of Metairie Small Animal Hospital, as well as a past President and current member of the Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Daryl currently makes his home in New Orleans with his wife, his son, Liam, and his pets including 5 dogs, 2 cats, and numerous reptiles.
