Dr. Mary Brewington was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. She earned a B.S. in Animal Sciences from LSU in 2009, and then went on to study at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England where she received her veterinary degree in July 2014.

While attending RVC, she had the opportunity to spend three weeks in Indonesia as part of a student research team analyzing sustainable shrimp farming in the area. Dr. Mary worked at MSAH’s main hospital throughout high school, college, and vet school as a veterinary assistant. She rejoined the MSAH team as a doctor in March of 2016, having previously worked at a small animal clinic in New Orleans since graduation.

Dr. Mary is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association.

She currently resides in Mid-City with her very lovable Havanese mix named Lucy. Her interests include traveling, reading, cooking, and recently, the art of gardening.
