Dr. Megan Mayer was raised in the New Orleans area and began working as a kennel attendant at MSAH while attending Mount Carmel Academy. She continued with MSAH throughout high school and college, working as a veterinary assistant and on our Emergency Team.

She obtained her undergraduate degree in poultry science from Louisiana State University. Dr. Megan attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and received her veterinary degree in January 2017.

She looks forward to growing in the profession alongside her father, Dr. Siggy. Dr. Megan has two Dachshunds, Gracie and Winston, and a Sulcata tortoise, Riesling. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and being outdoors.
