Dr. Trayce Womack grew up in Carrollton, TX. After high school, she attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT, earning a B.S. in Marine and Environmental Sciences and a commission as an officer in the Coast Guard. During her time as active duty, she served as an engineering officer for the USCGC MIDGETT in Seattle, WA, and then as a port engineer stationed in New Orleans. After separating from the Coast Guard, she attended Texas A&M University for veterinary school. She elected to come back to the New Orleans area because she fell in love with it during her time stationed here. She currently lives in Metairie with her dog, Pearl, who enjoys coming to work with her every day and eating chicken.
